Welcome to Stevens Park Village![]() ![]() Stevens Park Village, one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Oak Cliff, is tucked away between Colorado Boulevard and the edge of the cliff, which affords many of its residents spectacular views of the Dallas skyline. Wide, curving, tree-lined streets and large medians soften the edges of urban living in this quiet neighborhood. Located near Stevens Park Golf Course, homes here are sought after by those wanting proximity to downtown Dallas and easy access to the Metroplex via I-30, while retaining that cozy neighborhood atmosphere. Aptly named, Stevens Park Village has an historical feel due to the charming Austin stone and brick homes that predominate. Many exterior elevations and eclectic facades allow for an architecturally diverse but highly attractive collection of homes. Fifteen of the residences were designed by noted Dallas architect Charles Dilbeck, who felt first and foremost a home should be welcoming. And the Stevens Park Village homes live up to that promise. Observers can spot natural materials, intimate scale and fine craftsmanship throughout the 176 residences in our neighborhood. The neighborhood, first developed between 1939 and 1941, also features Prairie Style homes, incorporating hardwood floors, fireplaces, archways, corner cupboards and chair rail molding. An addition immediately to the west was built in the 1950s, and features larger ranch-style homes. The Village also includes two small park areas; the center of neighborhood activity, especially during the summer months; from doggie disc catch games to picnic spreads rivaling those of local all-you-can eat buffets. Many neighbors invite others over, sharing their beautiful backyard gardens for socializing. And if you are lucky enough to be befriended by a resident with a pool…well, it certainly makes those hot Dallas summers much easier to take. Stevens Park Village caters to all passions: whether it’s the 100-year-old Oaks and Pecans; the “perfect” home to combine living and working; the safety of walking yourself or your furry baby; buying a dwelling to renovate to its old grandeur or completely modernize its interior. No matter your home desires, Stevens Park Village has been attracting residents to the revitalized Oak Cliff for more than 20 years. Whatever draws you here, you might find you end up staying because of the friends you make. |
