City Announces $1.2 Million in Grants for Home Improvements

The City of Dallas Housing Department is accepting loan applications this week for their Home Repair Program. The funds are earmarked for major roofing, electrical, plumbing, gas, heating and air conditioning repairs and lead based paint removal.

Available through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grants, the loans are deferred and require no repayment if the applicant continues to reside in the home for five years.
